Tools Required:
Picture Hooks (2 per canvas)
Measuring Tape
Pencil
Hammer
Tip:
If you have a hard floor, always put your canvas on a towel to protect its bottom edge.
Step 1:
Decide how high you would like to hang your canvas. Ask another adult to hold it up against the wall while you step back to see 'the big picture'. If you're on your own, cut up a piece of cardboard the same size as your canvas, use some blue tack to stick it to the wall so you can step back to see if you're happy with its location.
Step 2:
Measure the distance between the floor and the bottom of your canvas.
Step 3:
Flip the rings at the back of your canvas up. Measure the distance between the top of the rings and the bottom of the canvas.
Step 4:
Add the two numbers above. This is the height of where the bottom of your picture hook should go. Let's call this number 'X'.
Step 5:
Mark where you want the centre of your canvas to be. (if you want it to be centred to a wall, mark the centre of your wall, roughly at the height where your picture hook will go.
Step 6:
Measure the distance between the centres of the two rings on the back of your canvas. Divide that number by 2. Let's call that number 'Y'.
Step 7:
Measure horizontally and make a short vertical pencil mark 'Y' distance from the centre point. Repeat on the other side.
Step 8:
Measure 'X' distance up from the floor and make a short horizontal pencil mark. This should intersect with your previous pencil mark to form a cross. Repeat on the other side.
Step 9:
Line the bottom of your picture hook up with the centre of the pencil cross mark. Put the nail in. Repeat on the other side.
Step 10:
Flip the rings on your canvas out and loop them over your picture hooks.
