My baby is now 1 month old. Can I still do a newborns photography session for her?
Yes! Certainly!
As a newborn photographer, my goal is to capture the unique and special moments of your little one during their newborn photoshoot. I understand that every baby is different, so my sessions are always baby-led. This means that I won't force your baby into poses that she's not comfortable with or wait for hours for her to fall asleep just to get the perfect shot.
At my Forest Hill studio, we'll start by choosing a cozy knitted onesie for your newborn and getting her all dressed up. If she's feeling a bit unsettled, I'll wrap her up in a swaddle for comfort. But if she's calm and content, we won't need to swaddle her.
We'll start our photoshoot by capturing beautiful images of your baby with both parents, as well as individual shots of each parent. And of course, there will be some adorable shots of just your little one snuggled up in a parent's arms.
If your baby is feeling awake and happy during the newborn photoshoot, we'll get some beautiful photos of her interacting with her parents, looking around, and making some cute facial expressions.
If she starts to feel tired, I'll swaddle her to help her fall asleep. Then, we'll capture some precious photos of her all swaddled up into a cute little bundle. And then when she falls into a deeper sleep, we'll loosen the swaddle and get some snuggly sleepy shots.
Every baby is different, but in my experience, babies over 1-month-old tend to stay awake during their newborn photoshoot. But you never know, so let's just go with the flow and capture those special moments as they unfold.
